The quaint Spencer House is a two-story guest house on the property. This comfortable house can be added onto a rental of Gray’s Summit Lodge for a total of 34 guests. The first floor has a small living room with wood stove, a large casual kitchen and full bath with tub/shower downstairs. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed, a second nook has a full bed, a third bedroom has a queen and a single, and the fourth has two bunk beds. A large second floor bath has a jetted tub.

Gray’s Summit Lodge is a welcoming rustic modern home, redesigned and renovated for large groups.
Although it is nestled in the woods, far from the hustle and bustle, it is only 10 minutes from Okemo’s Jackson Gore entrance. The VAST snowmobile trails abut the property for easy access to Vermont’s incredible statewide network of paths. The gorgeous location in Mount Holly’s “snow belt” assures that your winter vacation will be complete with sledding and snowball fights. In the summer, hiking options are plentiful.

THE LAYOUT - GROUND FLOOR: The open plan of the Lodge’s first floor is perfect for gathering. The vaulted wood ceiling houses a vintage wagon wheel chandelier which sets the tone for the house. A pair of sofas anchor the cozy fireplace seating area and lounge chairs swivel for conversation or HD television viewing. The modern kitchen is well-stocked and has all necessities. One of the showpieces of the lodge is the 12 foot long reclaimed wood dining table. With seating for at least 16, feasts are inevitable. In addition to the hand-crafted stone fireplace, the living area has a wood burning stove for warmth. There is a mud room at the entrance for your gear and a deck off the dining area with beautiful views.

Barn doors separate the living room from the convertible den. It is furnished with a daybed with trundle for additional sleeping or is the perfect place to curl up with a book. Sliding doors lead onto a second deck for summertime access to the above-ground pool.

The first floor has two additional bedrooms, each with a single bed and a pair of twins which can be combined to form king beds. The newly renovated full bath has new fixtures and a soaking tub.

LOWER LEVEL:
Your very own pub welcomes you with wood paneled walls and a second stone fireplace. The two flat screen televisions are the perfect place for sports fans to catch a game. The custom bar has its own sink and dishwasher and the bar area has another full refrigerator to house your beverages. The game room is equipped with a pool table, shuffleboard table and card table. Two futons are for lounging or additional sleeping complete the room. Off of the bar is the door to the large outdoor hot tub. The scenic views from the hot tub are majestic in all seasons.

The lower level has two cozy bedrooms, one contains a queen bed and the second a queen and a single. Another full bath with tub is on the lower level as are laundry facilities.

UPPER LEVEL: The Lodge’s two larger bedrooms are on t
he upper level. One bedroom has a queen bed and 3 singles. The second upper bedroom is furnished with a king, a queen, and a single. Known affectionately as “Bourbon Street” this bedroom has French doors which lead to a narrow catwalk overlooking the living area. Mardis Gras fans, B.Y.O beads! The shared hall bath with shower is newly renovated.

THE AREA:
The Mount Holly area has abundant options for four seasons of fun. Winters offer not only some of the best skiing and riding in the northeast (Okemo is just 10 minutes down the road and Killington is less than 30 miles away) but top-notch snowmobiling, ice skating, tubing, sledding, and snowshoeing. Gray’s Summit Lodge’s proximity to the VAST trails makes it the perfect winter getaway for the snowmobile crowd. Spring, summer, and fall are perfect for hiking, cycling, fishing, and golfing. The leaf-peepers will be thrilled with the panoramas during foliage season and water sport enthusiasts will love the rivers, lakes, and swimming holes in the summer months. Gray’s Summit Lodge features an above–ground pool for summertime dips. The less adventurous will enjoy scenic drives, quaint shops, crafts and antiques, delicious local cuisine, and naturally, the hot tub. It is a short drive to numerous charming New England towns.
